Harkers Hollow Golf Club, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Phillipsburg, New Jersey.
The Harkers Hollow Golf Club golf course first opened for play in 1929. The golf course was designed by Robert White.
It all starts when you leave their clubhouse, which was uniquely converted in 1929 from an 1820's Barn and venture past the putting green to the Pro Shop. From here the view of the course is spectacular with its luxuriant fairways, well manicured greens and rolling hills. The course is positioned on the slope of a small mountain.
Harkers Hollow course features narrow fairways and small, fast greens. There is water that comes into play on a few holes. The course is very hilly and well bunkered.
Harkers Hollow golf course plays to a par 70 and offers a number of different tees yardages to accomodate all abilities. The course from the Black Championship tees plays to 6,551 yards, the Blue Membership tees play to 6,361 yards, the forward Red tees measure 5,473 yards and Gold 5,608 yards. From which ever set of tees are played each hole brings a new challenge, whether it be an extreme side hill lie, a small slick green or a challenging shot over Lopatcong Creek which runs the length of the course.
#1 is a challenging par 4 with a length of 420 yards from the Championship tees. This is one of the most difficult holes on the course. After that it's up, down, and across the mountain, presenting different challenges on every hole.
#4 a 524-yard, par 5, is considered by locals to be the signature hole.
#5 is the official signature hole; a par 3 located at the top of the front nine with a spectacular view. Many Brides have choosen to hold their wedding from this scenic vista.
#7 is Harkers toughest. A 423 yard uphill par 4 from the Championship tee with a small green that slopes back to front.
#8 and #9 holes have Lopatcong Creek meandering through them. Good shot placements are key on these holes.
#15 is a par 4 with a beautiful view overlooking the entire of the course.
#18 is a par 4 with out of bounds on the left and Lopatcong Creek on the right. Par is a worthy score on this challenging final hole.

Glad to see they are trying to bring this course back. Last year the pricing made this a good value. They continue to improve the conditions. However the course is not a $70 per round course (we played here on Sun morning twice this season). Without a special deal on the fee (4 for the price of 3), keeping the fee reasonable it wouldn't be a good value
