Nice overall course with excellent, friendly staff. Open course layout with almost no trees. Pretty nice clubhouse but didn't find a single thing for sale that had pricing marked on it. Irrigation uses reclaimed water stored in on-course ponds. Front nine was considerably more lush than back nine when played although front was almost too lush...we had trouble locating balls that hit fairways and bounded just a few yards into the rough. Greens were nice a rolled smooth and true. Quite a bit of stagnant water on front 9 cart paths the day we played. Course is almost silent except for background noise from I-40 and occasional freight train. Very scenic...we saw a large doe near one of the ponds and the surrounding terrain is beautiful (Mt Taylor). Only minor complaint was kitchen did not seem to be very organized and had nothing ready when we made the turn. Settled for a burrito which they said they could make quickly but it was just lukewarm and the cheese was not even melted. We'll go back again though as this could have just been a bad-kitchen day.
