Las Cruces Country Club is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Las Cruces Country Club first opened for play in 1929.
The fairways are typically flat and wide open. The course has small unguarded "postage stamp"-sized greens. The signature hole is #1, a 431-yard, par 4, with a dogleg left fairway and large trees that can affect your shots.
Blue tees: par-72, 6,324 yards, 69.5 / 119
White tees: par-72, 6,094 yards, 68.5 / 117
Red tees: par-72, 4,797 yards, 65.7 / 112
The course closed in 2011. The property sold for $7.1 million in 2014. The developer hopes to convert the 110-acre site into an "urban village" that will include a medical campus with a 42-bed hospital, a combination rehabilitation, and fitness center, doctors' offices and an assisted living center; retail and dining; residential and multifamily housing; and parks, walking trails and open space.
In late 2014, the country club purchased all assets of Sonoma Ranch Golf Course for slightly less than $5 million. Sonoma Ranch Golf Course is now owned entirely by the Las Cruces Country Club
