I lived in the Ransom Oaks Neighborhood for several years, Glen Oak was my "home" course.
I will start out by saying, this course is a gem to play in the summertime (spring rains normally make this course a muddy track). The course maintenance above par compared to other WNY courses.
Now the reason I won't play there anymore; you are not allowed to drive alone in a golf cart. You are forced to pair up with another single. I realize many will not find this to be an issue, but for me, having to share a cart with someone I've never met before is uncomfortable. And being uncomfortable while trying to figure out my swing is not what I paid $50 for. Having to make small talk with someone you may not have anything in common with for four + hours! No. Not for me. So, the course would not let me play without sharing the cart. I collected my refund and will not return. Shame really, I did like this course alot. I guess the on duty manager didn't think he needed my business anymore? Must be nice to have so many customers that you can turn some away!

I play this course 3-6 times a year. It's not a hard course but it's not an easy one either. You can get into trouble on many holes. As long as you are reasonably accurate you will have fun.

Challenging layout with well maintained fairways and greens. The Fall Senior rates were low but at this time of year the the food shack at the turn was closed and there were few amenities.

Not a course for the beginner. Wind can play a big part on where you place your shots. We play this course two-three times a season in my foursomes rotation and never get tired of it.
