Sunken Meadow State Park Golf Course The Green and Red Courses opened in 1962, followed by the Blue Course in 1964. All three were designed by Alfred Tull.
The three courses offer an interesting game of golf. The fairways range from wide to narrow, and the greens range from small to large. The ladies tee off from the same set of tees as the men.
The Red Course at the Sunken Meadow State Park Golf Course measures 3,040 yards and plays to a par of 36.
The Blue Course at the Sunken Meadow State Park Golf Course measures 3,060 yards and plays to a par of 35.
The Green Course at the Sunken Meadow State Park Golf Course measures 3,125 yards and plays to a par of 36.

This is a New York State run facility. Since the State is in financial turmoil, the rates were increased this year. Although the price is still reasonable (I think I paid about $37 to walk on a Sunday) there are better bargains out there especially if you are a Suffolk County resident. Overall, the three nine hole courses are fine.

Fairways and greens needed to be cut which they were doing as we played. One hole had a temp. green.

Played 18, Red to Green. Red's cart path's were beyond awful, like you needed an ATV and not a golf cart. Green's course were a bit better. The holes are on top of each other, errant shots are dangerous on this course. For the money there many other course I would play before this one. Felt like the wild west of golf, would not play it again nor recommend it.
