Lakeside Country Club, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Penn Yan, New York.
Lakeside golf course first opened for play in 1950 as a 9-hole course. The course wasexpanded to 18 holes in 1995.
The course was built on the rolling terrain overlooking Keuka Lake, so expect very few level lies. Because of the heavily wooded landscaping, many of the tees are situated within tunnels of trees. There is a creek that comes into play on five holes, and the well-bunkered greens are medium speed. There are five elevated greens on the course, and many holes require blind approach shots. The new holes that were added in 1995 were built on wide open terrain, which contrast the style of older holes.
Blue tees: Par-72, 6,549 yards, course rating 71.6, slope rating 129.
White tees: Par-72, 6,230 yards, course rating 70.2, slope rating 127.
Green tees: Par-72, 6,002 yards, course rating 69.2, slope rating 124.
Gold tees: Par-72, 5,369 yards, course rating 65.5, slope rating 111.
Red tees: Par-72, 5,118 yards, course rating 69.9, slope rating 121.

If you think you are a great golfer, you need to play this course. It will humble you on some holes, make you look like a pro on others. One of the most scenic courses in the area. If you like flat course, this isn't the one for you as there is barely a flat spot on the course (note the humble comment earlier). There are probably not many courses in the world where on one hole you can watch a jet take off at the adjacent airport, and look over your shoulder and watch a horse and buggie go down the street.
