The AuSable Club golf course, located in the Adirondack Mountains, features scenic, tree-lined fairways. The small greens are fast, and water only comes into play on one hole. There are additional sets of tees that can to play a double-loop eighteen hole round. This club originally opened in 1888 and has been listed by the USGA as one of the first 100 clubs established in the U.S. The golf course is open throughout the Pre, Post and Summer Seasons. Tee times are not available and play is determined on a first come – first served basis. Children 12 and under are not permitted to play golf on weekends and holidays until after 3pm, except at the discretion of the Golf Professional.
Par for the course is 33. From the back tees the course plays to 2,260 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 2,100 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 6, a par-4 that plays to 372 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 2, a par-3 that plays to 102 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 6, the 372 yard par-4 challenge is the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at AuSable Club is also the shortest, the 102 yard par-3 hole # 2.
