Winding Brook Country Club opened in 1962 and was designed by Paul Roth.
Winding Brook Country Club is a family owned and operated 18-hole, par 70, semi-private golf course. Spanning over 265 acres in Northern Columbia County. Construction began in 1961 and took two years to complete. The golf course acquired it's name from the "winding brook" that lazily flows through both the front and back nines, surrounded by large pines- all of which were planted by hand, bordering the fairways and the spring-fed ponds.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6,106 yards. From the foward tees the course plays to 5,198 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 15, a par-5 that plays to 459 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 11, a par-3 that plays to 165 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 5, a 438 yard par-5challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Winding Brook is # 11, the 165 yard par-3.
