Olde Sycamore Golf Plantation is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Olde Sycamore first opened for play in May 1997. The course was designed by Tom Jackson.
Many of the fairways are very tight and tree-lined, making an accurate tee shot and precise ball placement important to achieving a good score. The fairways are also undulating, resulting in many uneven lies. The greens are mostly medium-sized, while several are double-tiered.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,965 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,756 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 12, a par-5 that plays to 601 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 169 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 8, a 442-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Old Sycamore Golf Course is # 17, a 179 yard par-3.

Great course but a little pricey. They build a great course and feel they have to build a 2 or 3 million dollar clubhouse to justify charging a big price. Other than that it is fun to play and challenging.

Greens were very fast and some pin placements for this day seemed especially penal. Of course that only added to the interest.

The course was in great shape, and they have coupons available on their web site. Pace of play was ok, but we waited on most every tee, sometimes for several groups.

I have played here 15 - 20 rounds, the course is inconsistently good condition. Lots of interesting and challenging holes including several doglegs.
