Bull Creek Golf & Country Club, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Louisburg, North Carolina.
The course first opened for play in 1996.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,367 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,480 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 10, a par-5 that plays to 590 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 11, a par-3 that plays to 138 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 2, a 487-yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Bull Creek is # 13, a 221 yard par-3.
The course closed in 2014.
The Franklin County Board of Commissioners on August. 4, 2014 voted 6 to 1 in favor of moving forward with the purchase of property in a deal they’ve valued at $700,000.
The deal includes nearly 170 acres of land with four ponds as well as the golf club’s former 3,200 square-foot clubhouse and two other 4,000 square-foot buildings. The property is located at the intersection of Massenburg-Baker and Wheless roads, northeast of Louisburg, and about 30 miles northeast of Raleigh.
The county is using funds donated by the late Edgar H. Owens, who upon his death in 2010 willed the county 80 percent of his estate to be used for the creation of a recreational park in honor of his parents, V.E. and Lydia H. Owens.
