Fargo Country Club is a Private, 27 hole golf facility located in Fargo, North Dakota. The facility has an 18-hole Regulation Golf Course and a 9-hole Par-3 Golf course.
The course traces it's history to 1898. It was expanded to 18-holes in 1923. In 1961 a new back nine was built. This nine was designed by Robert Bruce Harris. Since then the course has been renovated by Dick Nugent and later by Joel Goldstrand.
The back nine is tight and the Red River comes into play on some holes. Some of the greens are elevated and most are very undulating.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,992 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5034 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 11, a par-5 that plays to 557 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 7, a par-3 that plays to 156 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 13, a 435-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. #13 has a dogleg right fairway followed by a requirement for an accurate approach shot to a "postage stamp: sized green.The easiest hole at Fargo Country Club Regulation Golf Course is # 7, the 156 yard par-3.
