Raymond Memorial Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Columbus, Ohio.
Raymond Memorial Golf Course opened in 1954. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.
Mr. Jones thought outside the box in designing Raymond Memorial Golf Course including twin par 3 holes. Each par 3 hole is actually two parallel holes complete with tees, fairways and greens. The idea behind this feature was to allow play to move at a more reasonable pace by allowing the faster players to advance ahead of the slower foursomes. Raymond Memorial was the first course in the United States to have such a feature.
From the blue tees, this course plays to 6,812 and from the white tees, it plays to 6,424 yards. In addition the course plays to 5,969 from the gold tees and 5,113 from the red tees. All greens are raised and sloped from back to front. They are also large and severely contoured. Sand bunkers protect the front side of all 18 holes. Most holes have two sand bunkers with others strategically placed between the tee and green.

Its a Muni course that gets lot of play. Stay away during league hours. Play ahead of league is my advice or 9 holes in the evening. Weekend greens fee + cart is not worth the money. I play it because its close by and doesn't cost me any extra money to walk.

Not a bad local course. There are better, but there are worse. We play league here. Has several challenging greens

The staff was rude. The pace of play was slow. The course conditions were below average. The greens were slow.
