Colonial Golfers Club, located just six short miles from the ONU campus, has been the home of Ohio Northern University's "Polar Bears" golf for the entire histories of the men’s and women's golf programs.
For the men, the scenic course plays 7,043 yards with a par of 72 from the championship tees with a course rating of 72.60 and a slope of 127. For women, the course plays 5,873 yards with a Par of 72 from the white tees with a course rating of 72.00 and a slope of 119.
Colonial Golfers Club is a beautiful parkland style course with a diverse array of holes to challenge any golfer. This course was built on rolling terrain, so expect uneven lies. The large greens are undulating and easy to three putt. Water hazards come into play on 14 holes. White stakes and fence lines represent the out-of-bounds areas. Locals boast that you will need every club in your bag when playing this course.
The signature hole is No. 6, a beautiful dog-leg that plays 401 yards from the championship tees. A big hitter can cut the corner and set up a short iron to a deep, narrow green protected by a pond on the right and rocks coupled with a small creek on the left.
