Tokatee Golf Club, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Blue River, Oregon.
Tokatee – A Chinook Word Meaning "A Place of Restful Beauty"
Construction of Tokatee began in 1964 and the course first opened for play (front 9) on July 1st 1966. The back nine opened 3 years later in the summer of 1969. The course was designed by Ted Robinson. Dirt moving for the course was minimal. The big challenge was land clearing because much of the area had been an old-growth forest logged in the 1940s. The stumps had to be "blown" with dynamite, then the roots dug out and piled to be burned. A few stumps were left to show the size of the trees and how they were felled with cross-cut saws. Tokatee was the first course in Oregon to use the white sand from Boise, Idaho.
This 18-hole golf course is golf in the beautiful McKenzie River Valley with straightforward holes that are enhanced by their views of the Three Sisters Mountains and their use of native ponds and streams. Tokatee Golf Club is easily walkable, with memorable holes that inspire by their aesthetics and reward in their strategic quality. The course offers scenic backdrops and trees running down the fairways. It has 6 lakes and around 25 sand traps.
Consistently ranked in "Best Courses in Oregon" by Golf Digest, Tokatee Golf Club welcomes golfers of all levels. Spend your day at Tokatee Golf Club - where nature is your partner and golf is at its finest.

Late march, 2012, 2 days after 8 inches of snow, it was 60 degrees, barely any snow in the trees, very few people on the course, the sun on the newly snow covered three sisters, a few mushy spots in the fairways, full sunshine for 14 holes - What an early spring treat!

We plan on playing Tokatee every year we come to Oregon in our RV. Their play 10 deal is the best. Deal in central Oregon and the course a favorite of mine. Should be fairly easy, but it will bite you.

Played while in the area for a wedding. It was the tail end of some very unusual and hot weather in the area and I hope that's their excuse for the poor condition of the greens. Course was packed midday on Friday and we waited on at least every other shot. No water on the course except for a drinking fountain and staff was ok.

Magnificent scenery, no houses on the course, challenging setup. One of my favorite courses.
