La Grande Country Club was established in 1924 and opened at its present location in 1928. The course was designed by B.B. Baker.

The course is surrounded by mountains and was built on flat terrain among apple orchards. The challenging design features lush fairways, elevated, postage-stamp sized greens with moderate speed, and a stream that comes into play on seven holes. There are additional tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round.

The tree-lined fairways, elevated postage stamp greens, and a total (double loop 18-hole) yardage of 6,500 yards provide a challenge for all skill levels.
