Valley Green Golf & Country Club first opened for play in 1965. The course was designed by Xenophon Hassenplug.

Valley Green is a Par 72 and 6,318 yards long from the Championship tees. The slope is 104 while the USGA Course Rating is 67.5. Water hazards come into play on five holes. The fairways are generous and the greens are extremely large and fast.
You need to keep your shots below the hole, as down hill putts are treacherous. The course is one of the flattest in Western Pennsylvania. There is a restaurant and full service bar located on the premises. Valley Green has also been the site of numerous events sponsored by the Westmoreland County Golf Association.
