Detailed description of Wood River Golf Course

Wood River Golf Course is an 18 hole public golf course that is located along the Wood River in Hope Valley, Rhode Island.

The course first opened for play in 2000. The course was designed by course owner, Wes Thompson.

When playing this course, they give you the option to play 11, 13, or 18 holes. The front 9 and the first two of the back nine as well as hole #18 are located on the clubhouse side of Woodville Alton Road. So you can play the front 9, or the front 9 and 10, and 11. The front 9 is basically flat to gently rolling with a few doglegs. 

Once you cross the road to play holes 13-17, you better have your A game ready. The challenge level increases along with severe elevation changes and postage stamp size landing areas. If you survive those 5 holes, you're home free on #18.
