Triggs Memorial Golf Course is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Providence, Rhode Island.
Triggs Memorial Golf Course first opened for play in 1932. The course was designed by Donald Ross.
The front nine at Triggs is fairly flat with much larger changes in elevation on the back nine. Typical of many Ross designs, Triggs Memorial has long difficult par 4's, "reachable" par 5's, and spectacular par 3's. The design follows the natural contours of the site with moderate and relatively gentle changes in elevation and small strategically bunkered greens.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,522 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,392 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 10, a par-5 that plays to 513 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 14, a par-3 that plays to 158 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 3, a 457-yard challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 14, a 158 yard par-3.</p>

Triggs was in the best shape I have seen it in, in yeras. They are actually even seeding bare areas around the tees that don't come in to play for aesthetics. I have always liked this course. The greens were beautifual and rolling nice. Trigg's is a classic Ross layout and very challenging. In the summers the areas of rough that don't get watered tend to hard pan out but it was in great shape when I played it a few weeks ago. Would reccommend it to any one who doesn't care about the pro shop or how great the carts are but enjoys a good stern test of golf. The first 3 holes get progressively tougher and if you get by these long par 4s you are ready for the rest of this course.
