The Plantation Course at Edisto, is a Resort, 18 hole golf course located in Edisto Island, South Carolina.
The only golf course on the island, the course was first opened for play 1973. The course was designed by Tom Jackson. The course was redesigned by Favsam Associates in 2006.
Originally known as 'Oristo' and later as 'The Edisto Beach Golf Club', the course is now named "The Plantation Course at Edisto."
Along with the name change was a total renovation of the course in 2006 and a new Pro Shop in May 2007.

Excellent condition and the new owners have vastly improved the course. Requires sound strategy and a bit of luck to score well.

Of all the island courses located around the Charleston area, this is the best kept, playable golf course for the money. Great staff and excellent condition. Going back

Played this course while on vacation in Edisto Beach. The course was in great shape. You have to be playing your A game (accuracy) if you want to shoot your handicap. Lots of water makes the course a real challenge. The staff where very helpful in all aspects a golfer could need or want. I intend to play again sometime in the future.

This course was a pleasant surprise. It is not long, but lots of doglegs, water, bunkers and trees. Additionally, OB is on almost every hole which places a premium on accuracy. This is a shot makers course, pure length will not score well here! Mr. Leland Vaughan is the General Manager and has some great stay and play packages in some very nice condos that will sleep up to eight golfers. Their grill and bar serves up some of the best food I have had the pleasure of tasting since being in the South Carolina area. Overall I would rate this course A+ and a treat if you are planning on visiting Hilton Head (45 minutes south) and Kiawah Island (40 minutes north). Call Leland for special pricing for your group!

Great course and very friendly staff. Only course I have visited where several of the staff ask for our comments and exaplin the course in detail. Well worth the drive. Difficult course with water coming into play on 15 of the 28 holes. If you can keep it in the short grass, you can score well here, if not....well you know that side of the story.

Course overpriced, would expect with only course on the island. Layout fair, condition, especially greens need work. If you are stuck on the island and want to play golf - only facility in town, unless you want to drive 45 minutes.
