Fripp Island Resort is a resort 36-hole golf facility located in Fripp Island South Carolina. The facility has two 18-hole golf courses. They are, The Ocean Creek Course and The Ocean Point Course.
The Ocean Creek Course was the second course built at Fripp Island Resort. Incorporating sweeping views of salt water marshes, fresh water lagoons, lush jungle vegetation and four distinctive rolling dune ridges, Ocean Creek opened in 1995. The course was designed by Davis Love III .
The signature 6th and 7th holes are situated on the "Old House Creek" and marsh, which Jacques Cousteau called "one of the most pristine salt-water marsh habitats in the world". Five holes are edged by marsh, while another six incorporate interior wetlands, preserved and connected to the course through a network of wooden walkways and bridges.
Par for The Ocean Creek Courses is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,586 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures `4,840 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 16, a par-5 that plays to 547 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 12, a par-3 that plays to 145 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 7, a 409 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at The Ocean Creek Course is # 12, the 145 yard par-3.

Wow, What a layout that throws something at you on each shot. If you stray from the fairway, miss greens the recovery shots come at a premium, if you find your ball. Blocking out the hazards and focusing on the distance to landing areas is the way to play this track. Tee, fairways to greens were top shelf conditions and the sand very playable and consistent. This was the fastest 4.5hrs that went by as the pace was always moving smoothly along. Son Barry and I both shot 88's with me having 38 putts, landing in the wrong places. Must put this on your play list if your playing in this area.

Both courses on Fripp are incredible! You have to play these courses. Of the two, this one will make you pay if you are off the fairway as the hazards are everywhere and you will lose your balls if you cannot keep it in the fairway. Super nice, must play.

Great course, it is a bit pricey, and they need to add beverage carts on the course.

The environment of this first Davis Love III golf design is incredible. The wildlife is everywhere and the course is beautiful and very challenging.

I’ve been a member at Fripp Island since 2017 a while I love both courses, I have to say I favor Ocean Creek. The views, wildlife and conditions are a great experience. Shot making and course management are the two things that are most important to making a good score here. Grip it and rip it and you’ll be reloading….
