The course sits on 198 acres zoned for low-density residential land use. Records indicate the Willimon family owned the property as of June 19, 2018, and that no requests to redevelop the property had come up for a vote at county meetings.
Public records show the Willimon family secured high-density residential zoning last year for a neighboring 67-acre wooded parcel. They then sold that parcel to Spartanburg, S.C. developer Mark III Properties for $1.6 million in July 2017. It remains undeveloped as of June 2018.

Course allows walking even on weekend mornings which I thought was great. Driving range is in need of grass.

Bonnie Brae was one the top courses around based on how challenging the course is and it's fairway and green conditions. The challenge is still there but they have let condition of the course a take a deep dive south. I was very disappointed when we played the course this summer. I would have played a lot more than what I did, but the the course was basically over-priced because of the condition of the course and the price increased, go figure.
