Ridgeway Country Club is a Private 18 hole golf course located in Memphis, Tennessee.
The present day golf course first opened for play in 1971.The course was designed by Ellis Maples and Ed Seay. The first course of the club was 9 holes and opened in 1919. The club, at that time, was known as the Rex Club.The second nine was completed in 1950 and the name at that time was The Rex Ridgeway Club.
This difficult course features small undulating greens. There are numerous trees and water hazards that come into play. The signature hole is #18, a 531-yard, par 5, requiring avoidance of four lakes.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,933 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,366 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 11, a par-5 that plays to 565 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 170 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 8, a 464 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 17, a 172 yard par-3.
