Oakmont Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Corinth, Texas.
Oakmont Country Club first opened for play in 1986. The course was designed by Don January and Roger Packard.
Oakmont Country Club plays to 6,908 yards from the back tees. The course rating is 72.7 and the slope rating is 123.
Oakmont Country Club is situated on 170 acres of rolling, hilly terrain located just minutes north of Lake Lewisville in Corinth, Texas. Oakmont Country Club has Bermuda fairways lined by mature oak trees rolling up to competitive Champion Bermuda grass greens. Fifty-one sand traps and five water holes enhance this picturesque par 72 golf course.

I have been a member for about 15 years. Oakmont Country Club is a Club Corp property and is a revenue generator for them. Club Corp does not put the money back into Oakmont but diverts funds to their more premium properties. Oakmont is a kind of "step child" among the Club Corp properties.
That is very dissapointing to the membership. It could be a very nice course. Wade Huff, the superintendant, does a very good job with a scaled down crew and not a lot of budget.

Oakmont is not a semi-private facility anymore. It's current membership stands at 370 golf members. We played in 3 hours and 15 minutes. The staff there is unbelievably friendly. The head golf professional and his staff are the best I've experienced. The golf course was in fantastic shape compared to all the other courses around that are experiencing drought issues. The greens are Champions Bermuda and are like putting on your kitchen table. They are perfect. Wade Huff and his small crew do a incredible job with this facility. Best Kept Secret in Town.
