Prairie Lakes Golf Course is a Public, 27 hole golf facility located in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Prairie Lakes has three 9-hole golf course, The Red, The White and The Blue. These 9-hole courses can be combined in 3 different 18 hole golf course combinations, Red/White, Red/Blue, and White/Blue.
Prairie Lakes Golf Club in Grand Prairie is nestled on the west shore of Mountain Creek Lake among the mesquite and oak trees.
With 27 holes it is a very unique golf course, each nine containing its very own distinct characteristics.
The White Course at the Prairie Lakes Golf Club facility opened in 1963. The White Course was designed by Ralph M. Plummer. The White Course has more water-hazards than the other two 9-hole layouts. The White Course plays out to the lake and along it for several holes. There is a water hazard on nearly every hole on this course. "The Bermuda Triangle" has one par 3 that requires a shot over water with the wind from the lake whipping in your face. The next hole is a longer hole with no rough but water on both sides of the fairway, and the final hole has water along one entire side of the hole.
The Blue Course at the Prairie Lakes Golf Club facility opened in 1963. The Blue Course was designed by Ralph M. Plummer and rennovated in 2006 by John Colligan. The blue is probably the most difficult of the three 9-hole layouts. #2-7 are quite tight with pretty thick woods lining the fairways; a straight tee shot is almost essential to a good score. Number 5 is a difficult par 5 that challenges the long hitter to clear a pond in front of the green and stop short of the trees behind.
The Red Course at the Prairie Lakes Golf Club facility opened in 1963. The Red Course was designed by Ralph M. Plummer.
A unique feature at The Prairie Lakes Golf Club courses is that no bunkers have sand. All three of the 9-hole courses play to pars of 36, or in combination, par-72s. The courses all measure over 3,200 yards in length for each 9 hole segment.

Not very long and not heavy grass off the fairway. However.. LOTS of water, beautiful holes and scenery, lush fairways, excellent greens. Friendly staff. Great deal!

The course has 27 holes and they always work in walk-ups. Good course to walk. Best food in golf, so much so that people can be seen comming in just to eat. Best value in the area!
