Copper Golf Club is a Semi-Private, 9 hole golf course located in Magna, Utah.
Copper Golf Club first opened for play in 1926 with sand greens. The course was designed by Mick Riley.
Copper Golf Club plays to a 9-hole par of 36 and a maximum 9-hole distance of 3,224 yards. The course rating is 35.8 and the slope rating is 119. There are additional tee locations available for those who wish to do a double loop 18 holes.
There's nothing fancy about the golf course, which is flat and has a lot of straight, tree-lined fairways. You won't find any elephant mounds on the greens or railroad ties around hazards. In fact, there isn't even a single water hazard on the course.
#1 is about as long and straight as a hole can be at 557 yards heading due east.
#4 may be the best, a dogleg right with three bunkers surrounding a large green.
#7 is a driveable par-4 measuring 280 yards, but the green is tiny and it has three bunkers waiting to gobble up stray drives.
#9 is a tough finishing hole, a par-4 measuring close to 450 yards from the back tees.
The Copper Club is surprisingly wind-free, due in part to the many large trees on the course and the Kennecott dike on the north.

Fairways were near dirt. Only nine holes and the tee boxes were a little confusing, seems you are supposed to play white tees first time around and blue tees second, for ladies it was red then silver. Tee boxes were dirt with weeds. No signs informing you of yardage, par hole layout. No course marshall. It has potential, plenty of trees, and the greens were in fair-good shape. But, if you're in the area, keep driving on by.
