Mountain Dell Golf Course is a Public, 36 hole golf facility located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Considered by many to be the most beautiful public golf facility in Salt Lake City, Mountain Dell is nestled in Parley's Canyon. It offers two challenging 18-hole courses, the Lake Course and the Canyon Course.
Mountain Dell Golf Course, The Canyon Course, first opened for play in 1962. The course was designed by William Bell, Jr.
The Mountain Dell Canyon course features 13 of the original 18 holes at Mountain Dell and five new holes rolling up the eastern canyon carved out of the natural oak brush and rose thickets.
At an altitude of 6,000 feet, Mountain Dell is about eight degrees cooler in the summer than the Salt Lake Valley. The Canyon course stretches up the eastern mountain from the clubhouse about four miles before looping back, golf carts are recommended.
Yardages: 6,787 yards (black tees); 6,416 (blue tees); 6,016 (white tees); 5,477 (red tees). Par for the men is 72 and for the Ladies, par is 73.

This is one of the nicest golf courses in the Salt Lake City Area.

It is fairly expensive for the value but it is worth playing. The clubhouse, and cart paths all need major work. It is a city course and if they ever put some money into it, it would be a really nice course. Bring your driver for those up the canyon tee shots and the beautiful down the canyon tee shots, however if you miss a little left or right you'll be taking a drop for sure. The fairways are narrow, or at times seem narrow. The greens are in good condition, and are fast. The scenery is peaceful even with the traffic from Parley's canyon above you. Lots of wildlife, deer, birds and I'm sure a snake or two.

This is a great public track with lots of scenery and wildlife. I chose to walk the course - although it does have some steep inclines.

A little more open than the Lakes Course. Can play long & challenging. Very scenic & great layout. Pace of play was extremely slow on Sunday afternoon- over 5 hours for 18 holes.
