Although the overall condition of course, both fairways and greens were in very good condition, the underlying problem with this course is in the design. This is not a course for the average golfer due to the design of many holes. The two holes on the front and one on the back that require carries over gorge areas require absolutely perfect approach shots in order to par the hole. Severe punishment awaits anything less. Long uphill par fours followed by short downhill par fives are aggravating. The rare bailout areas are often in blind areas making for another aggravation for the first time vacationing player.

I've played almost every course between Mesquite and Hurricane is this is the best value in the area. Always in good condition and for some reason seldom played. I know they were having some problems with fungus on holes 10 and 11, but had them corrected last time I played there. I would definately give this course a try, if for no other reason but as a warm up to some of the other more expensive courses in the area.

This is an okay golf course. It's somewhat short, but has its share of trouble and certainly offers enough of a challenge. Its biggest asset is the price for an 18-hole round, which, by the standards for this area, is relatively inexpensive. The recommend which set of tees on which to play, relative to a particular handicap range and I believe this is both accurate and fair. Unfortunately, there are those players who either have an over-inflated idea of their own skill level, or ignore the course recommendation and tee off from a set of tees making the course too long for them. Those players reduce the pace of play and there are no marshals to inpart wisdom and guidance. Too bad for the rest of us.

Staff was very good. Couse condition was good for this time of year. Looking forward to playing again in warmer weather. 45-50 degrees when we were there.

A gem of a local course. It is walkable - many local courses do not allow walking. There are a few very difficult holes but all are playable especially if you are playing from the appropriate set of tees. Must keep in mind that this is a winter getaway and there are municipal courses competing with expensive resort/vacation courses. This course competes with the best of them as a value course.
