Gloucester Country Club is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in Gloucester, Virginia.
Gloucester Country Club first opened for play in 1929.
This is a comfortable, old-time, neighborhood course. Kind of like Cheers, "Everybody knows your name." The course is definitely unpretentious.
This flat course is easy to walk. Water hazards come into play on four holes. Approximately fifteen greenside sand bunkers have been incorporated into the course design. Add to this the tiny Bermuda greens, and you can see that the course serves up plenty of tests for shotmaking.
Par for the course is 36. From the back tees, the course plays to 3025 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 2430 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 7, a par-5 that plays to 470 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 125 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 9, a 425-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 4, a 140 yard par-3.
