Sioux Creek Golf Course, is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in Chetek, Wisconsin, just two hours east of the Twin Cities and 40 minutes north of Eau Claire on Hwy. 53.
Sioux Creek Golf Course first opened for play in 1993.The course was designed by Lee Johnson.
The course provides an opportunity for all ages and levels to enjoy a quiet setting for golf. The course is nestled along 22 acre Mud Lake and the Chetek River. The course gives enough challenge yet fair experience to everyone with three sets of tees.
Par for the course is 36. From the back tees the course plays to 2,979 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 2,351 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 8, a par-5 that plays to 506 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 7, a par-3 that plays to 143 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 5, a 477 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 7, the 143 yard par-3.
Their signature trio of holes begins with:
#4, a short, 319 yard par-4. Although short in length, #4 demands an accurate tee shot to a tight fairway lined with a swamp on the left and trees on the right.
#5, a par-5 is modest in length at 477 yards, but also demands accuracy on the tee shot and lay up as the hole is framed by the Chetek River on the right and trees on the left.
#6 is a 283 yard par-4 with swamp and trees guarding the green along the right side. This hole sets up as a great risk reward challenge, the more you successfully bite off, the closer you will come to the green. mis judge and you may have a lost ball.
