I live in California and travel to Wisconsin often for business and to see family and I ALWAYS take time out to play Northbrook. Most of the course is carved out of the woods, but, the fairways should be wide enough for most golfers to avoid the trees. Just a beautiful, serene, fair golf course! Good layout, plenty of long holes, plenty of room between fairways, and plenty of trees. Play early in the morning and you'll be blessed with deer and wild turkeys all over the course. Easy to walk and always in great shape. Excellent for the price!
