_____ First Video _____
This 2:57 minute video provides a good look at Trump Golf Links Ferry Point, a municipal golf course located in the Bronx, N.Y.
The narrator and host is Golf Magazine's Travelin' Joe Passov.
The course was built at a whopping taxpayer's expense of $120 million. It really is a top drawer course. The Donald, as in Trump negotiated a pretty sweet deal for the course.
In early 2011, following the departure of the course's original developer, Trump's company took over the Ferry Point Park and secured a 20-year lease contract to manage the course from the City of New York. The deal included Trump's commitment to spend the $10 million needed to build the 12,000-square-foot clubhouse on the treeless, 7,400-yard links-style course. Trump will pay no rent to the city at all for the first four years, and then, only $350,000 each year thereafter until the expiration of the 20-year lease.
OK, let's break that down, $10 million for the club house and $350,000 for 16 years = $15,600,000 over 20 years. That = $780,000 a year. If the taxpayers were getting 3% a year on their investment it would be $3.6 million a year. Even 1% would be $1.200,000 a year. Actually the $780, 000 represents a return of 0.65%
Like I said, pretty sweet deal for a wonderful course. Of course, had Donald not stepped in, the course might still be unfinished and all money would have been wasted. two sides to every story.
_____ Second Video _____
The second Trump Golf Links Ferry Point video was posted September 2015 by Peter Finch Golf. Here we see some blokes playing the course and facing the challenge of transportation in New York. Although an 8 minute video, if your interested in the course, you don't need to watch past the 5:10 minute point. Beyond, it is just banter as they wander through the city.
