Golf Courses in Lompoc, California

Lompoc is located in Santa Barbara County, California. The city is known as the flower capitol of the U.S. and visitors to the area in spring-time will understand the reason for the title. The surrounding farmlands will be in bloom with flowers. The flower's are grown and the seeds harvested to be used in gardens around the world.

Vandenburg Air Force base is located about 10 miles from the center of town. Vineyards have also come to the area and can be seen in the foothills surrounding the Lompoc Valley. All of this would have surprised the early missionaries who established the La Purisima Mission, one in the string of 21 mission outposts established by Franciscan order Catholic priests between 1769 and 1833.
