Rules on moving a teeing marker
"Larry and Bob seem to have a "Grumpy old Men" relationship on the golf course. On hole #7 Bob was laying 15 feet off the green. Between Bob and the hole was a small sign that said "Please Repair Divots." Bob moved the sign so as not to interfere with his chip. Larry observed this action but said nothing. But you could see his wheels spinning. On the next hole, Larry teed up on the far right side of the tee box with his ball directly behind the tee box marker. He then in a mocking gesture picked up the tee box marker and moved it out of his way. Bob said “Larry, I think you can' move that marker. "Larry replied," if you can move a marker so can I and if there is a penalty, they cancel each other." Larry then proceeded to hit his drive. Were none, one or both players in error. If in error, which one, or both? If in error, what was the penalty.
