Day 36 - 100 days, 100 courses (Thursday, April 18, 2019)
On day 36 I woke up to the sound of thunder and a lot of rain. Although the view out the window gave no hope of playing golf, the forecast said that the rain should stop around 10. The question was, would the course be playable.
I decided to head out to the course early to see what the pro said and maybe get a little work done in the bar.
The rain ended around 10 and by 10:30 the course was open. The pro sent everyone to the Highlands course to give the Lakes course more time to dry out.
It dried out quite quickly and was very playable.
With no one in front of me, I just chugged through an awesome 18 holes. I would love to go back and play the lakes. In spite of the storm, everything was in great shape with just a little standing water. 88 with 1 lost ball. Kept reminding myself “don’t be a hero”.
