A Duffer

A beautiful course carved out of the forest in a corner of the Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohican Nation (reservation).
The clubhouse sits atop a hill (surrounded by trees), and features beautiful timbers and expansive glass walls.
Both front and back nine have your drive from an elevated tee to a fairway well below. Most of the front nine plays fairly 'open' (with most of the fairways more-or-less side-by-side in a large cleared area) until #6 doglegs up and into the woods, where #7-9 then are nestled. The back nine wander off through the forest (with a good assortment of doglegs). There's no water to worry about here, but errant shots (on #6-18) will have you off in the trees. It was surprising to me (with no water in evidence -- though there is a pond nestled back in the woods which #14-16 wrap around) that we were so beset by gnats/blackflies when we played here in August. (Very strongly recommend ensuring you have bug spray with you!)

Bottom line: Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
