I travel to this course every year from Northern Indiana. Greenbo Lodge in Greenup, KY. is a great place to stay if you and some buddies want to make a weekend of it. The course is difficult and you will lose some balls...some tee boxes are set high on a ridge so it's hard to find your ball sometimes, even if you hit the fairway.
You will only see a couple other golfers the whole time you are there because of the course design. Don't be in a hurry, your efforts will be futile in this regard; give yourself 5-6 hours to enjoy it to its fullest. It's in a Dry County so bring your own beers, and some snacks because you do not make a turn at the clubhouse.
From the very first tee box you will be thankful you made the trip...truly the best course I've played and I've played some beautiful courses.
Would travel: 60-120 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Ranks with the best in this price level, Best course in the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
Condition of Course, Difficulty, Layout, Price, Ambiance, No Houses on Course, Staff
