I ranked this course last year and thought highly of it at the time. I played it again recently and my opinion has changed for the positive. The course is in the best condition I have seen in recent years. The maintenance crew is to be commended for the job they've done to maintain the course. The fairways and greens are among the best I've played on in recent years. The course offers a fine challenge for golfers and the price is great. As I mentioned in my previous post, the staff is wonderful. Now that Corridor X, connecting Memphis and Birmingham is near completion, I would certainly recommend that vacationers stop and play this great public course.

Horse Creek, located in Dora, Alabama, opened several years ago. Even though I belong to a private club, I make an effort to play Horse Creek 3 - 6 times per year. The course offers a good challenge to the average golfer. Elevation changes on the front and back nines provide beautiful views of the holes located in the course valley. Two trailers make up the clubhouse. While the food and beverage selections are limited, the staff in the club house and the pro shop are among the friendliest I've encountered. Horse Creek is a great value. I will continue to play there.
