Wedgewood is a reasonable golf course. And is in good enough condition with an obvious limited maintenance budget.
The greens are average or better. The fairways have decent enough grass. I would just recommend playing the ball up everywhere. Most times that I have played the round has been under 4 hours.
The layout is pretty quirky at times. There are several holes that are blind with pretty severe penalties for not having local knowledge. So, don't think that you can just knock it where you should and end up being rewarded for a good shot! lol
I have played here several times and will go back again I'm sure.
The folks in the clubhouse and pro shop are very nice and it's a friendly 'country' atmosphere.
So, if you're in the Conroe area and looking for a reasonably priced round at a course that's friendly and in decent enough shape, check it out.
Would travel: 30-60 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Average course for the area, Ranks with the best in this price level, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
