I am sure that if I had played later in the season, this course would have been ranked even better. It had rained heavily for three days straight before I stopped on my trip back from Florida to play there. The grass in the fairways was long and they were pretty wet and were unable to be cut, probably had at least 4 days growth on them. The greens we still a little bumpy from the cross cutting in the previous fall. I played the tips and shot 82 for my first time visiting the course (7.7 GHIN index) on a very windy day with the course playing very long due to the wet conditions. It is a challenge with the elevation changes, but is fairly straightforward. With midsummer conditions, it would be a lot of fun, with plenty of scoring opportunities. I will stop here at every opportunity while travelling through, and recommend you do the same.
The staff was very friendly and made me feel right at home. There are spa/resort/pool facilities as well if your whole group are not golfers.
I hope this helps.
Hit'em straight!
Would travel: 30-60 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Ranks with the best in this price level, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
