I played this course as a side-trip from our Robert Trent Jones Trail vacation. What a surprise and a treat in playing this layout. No holes are alike, and you get a great combination of holes in the meadow, holes in the woods, and holes with significant elevation changes.
The par 3's are amazing, especially #5 with a fantastic panoramic view of the Alabama countryside and about a 150' drop to the green. The par 3 #17 features a similar drop with a large lake in front and on the sides.
Definitely worth the 90-minute drive from either Birmingham or Montgomery. Don't miss this tract.
Would travel: 60-120 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Ranks with the best in this price level
