After playing the Ridge course in the morning, we set out to try the Valley course and the first hole gets your attention with a big elevation drop. However, once down, the course stays relatively flat until it climbs back up on the last two holes. If this course were the only course on the Trail you would be impressed. However, I rank it pretty far down the list when comparing all the course on the Trail. Still, this course can eat your lunch with many water hazards and tall grass grabbing the errant tee shot. Oh, and with playing in the middle of the day, the round took about 4.5 hours to complete. A fun course but if you only have time for one round, I suggest the Ridge.
Would travel: 30-60 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area
