OK, the course is beautiful, challenging, and in great shape. They do treat you very well and everything is top notch. I just have a few problems with the course and one is that many holes are too similar to each other. I can normally remember every hole on a golf course when I complete the round but so many of the holes are the same (forced carry over chaparral with chaparral left and right) that many are a blur. The other problem is the big distance variation between tee boxes. You either play the course short at 6,200 yards or very long at 7,200 yards. It would be a great track at 6,800 yards.
Still, I am nitpicking a bit here. This course is rated in the top 30 courses nationwide you can play by Golf Digest and it probably deserves to be there. If I lived nearby, I would play the course more often if I could keep the cost under $100. But, a long drive from San Diego will keep me from playing the course again. But, play it at least once in your life!
