This is not a "grip it & rip it" course. Unless one is truly long off the tee, there are many holes on which the driver should stay in the bag, especially on the back side (the nines were recently reversed). If you are spraying your tee shots, it could be a long round. That was one of the pace-of-play problems - some folks spent an inordinately long time looking for golf balls that strayed of the fairway.
This is often described as a shot-makers course, but is a fun course to play.
