Permanently aerated greens make even the shortest putts an enormous challenge. Some tee boxes even have grass.I was quite pleased that the pit bull lounging in the left rough on 12 hardly stirred as I stepped over his mangy body looking for my drive. Later, after pulling another drive on 18, the homeless gentleman hanging his laundry to dry in the trees off the 17th fairway kindly assisted me in locating my ball. He even offered to give me a massage after my round. And, the course is well-equipped for early morning tee times as roosters - having recently escaped from nearby cock-fighting rings - are quite eager to loudly crow at any given minute! Who needs Bethpage when Brentwood is so close?
