$76 (cart included), played on Saturday, October 2011 at 8am

This is a qualified evaluation, as we played the course on one of only two days that week the course was even open, due to prodigious rainfall (which made our pace of play outstanding, as we were nearly the only people on the course). Carts were allowed only on carefully staked-off portions of the rough. However, even with the utterly soaked fairways, we thought the course was a ton of fun. The holes all have character and require strategic shot-making, and the greens were smooth and relatively quick. Note that this is NOT a walking course under any condition--the hills and distances between greens/tees mandate a cart. My husband (a scratch golfer) was challenged, and my skills (decent female golfer) were challenged without being abused. The club house was under construction, so the pro shop/snack bar are housed in a mildly tatty trailer for now, and the parking lot is unpaved. But the staff were gracious and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We will definitely play here again when the weather is more agreeable, and I'll reevaluate at that time. If nothing else, I want to see the new clubhouse, which looks to be a real gem when it's finished.

Would travel: 120-300 Miles
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
