$26 (cart included), played on Thursday, April 2022 at 9:10 AM

Decided to drive 1.5 hour southeast to play a 27 hole, local designed 29 year old course that is still very popular among Locals. By advertising a $26 weekday Senior price for 18w/cart had me making the drive to check it out. We started out on the Irish 3,024yd and then Wolverine 3,207 for a 69.4 / 113 on this Par 36/36 mostly flat layout. The Front 9 Irish #1 hole Par 5 at 481yds played straightaway long as it was into the 10-15mph wind today. Coming right back 484yds is #2 Par 5 that tucks it's elevated green behind a leftside tree so stay to the righthand side if you want a clear shot. The #3 is the dogleg left Hcp 1 Par 4 at 394yds that needs a 220yd drive between trees to see the green. (Hidden water on the righthand side of green. ) The Par 3 at #4 is a uphill 171yds that has the LH tall trees blocking SW wind at the tee box, until your ball gets towards the green. Then it opens up and moves your ball right, to that large well placed sand trap. The #6 is a dogleg left 326yd Par 4 that needs 220yd tee shot to have a shot at the green. The #8 is a sweeping right 495yd Par 5 with tall trees on the inside corner, so favor the leftside to this small hillside green. The Back 9 Wolverine #1 is a straightaway easy 321yd Par 4 so enjoy this freebee. The #2 is a long and treelined narrow 573yd Hpc 1 Par 5, that had a SW wind pushing your donkey and gaining distance with each shot, which was nice. The #3 Par 4 has your 397yd return trip with wind "in your grill" to this smaller Hcp 2 green. The #5 Par 3 at 191yds has water in the front but with 20yds of cushion if you fall short. The #5 Par 4 at 357yds has water left first 200yds and then water right all the way to the RH side of the green. The #8 Par 3 plays downwind 182yds with hidden water behind the green, so short isn't too bad. The sweeping right #9 is a fun narrow 420yd Par 5 that plays into the wind all the way. We ended up playing from the Blues @ 6,231yds today and shooting 39/43 w/31putts on this windy and wet course that is just off winter conditions. The conditions here have the roots of being a much better course once spring rains dry up and summer raises its head.

Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Ranks with the best in this price level
