This is the 2nd of the five (5) Boyne Highlands courses we will be playing and they seem to run together on just being "Beautiful to view, Tough to Play". With overall yardages stretching from 7,312 - 4,811yds this Par 36/37 rolling layout can offer up anything you desire ease or challenge. Of the six (6) tees we chose the Orange that played 3,094/3,258yds and with three (3) tight par 5's over 500yds, we chose well. Having elevated greens protected by large sand traps, added to the challenge of choosing the right club. Again, tee to green conditions are great with the rough mowed 3" deep and uniformed....for your swinging pleasure. Playing with guys that have played here before (Paul R, Al C, Tom T) gave me helpful course hints that we all took turns forgetting. Greens were rolling very true (9-10) but held most shots when hit. Good yardage markers (Block & Sprinkler heads) but needed to use elevation option on range finder. The only hole that stands out is #13 Par 5 (516yd) that plays from 570 - 365yds and was into the wind today.,,,so we chose wisely. I'm guessing that this would be a $80-$90 course without the package, but its worth it if you're vacationing in the area.
Would travel: 60-120 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Ranks with the best in this price level, Best course in the area
Condition of Course, Food/ Bar facilities, Difficulty, Ambiance, Staff, Pro Shop, Layout, Clubhouse
