After playing Arthur Hills track this morning as individuals, our three (3) groups played the Moor layout as a 4-man scramble this afternoon. With the course toughness and our tiredness, this 6,850 - 5,099yd Par 36/36 challenged us from the Purple tees at 6,597yd with a mixed layout. From the manicured tee boxes, close cut fairways, inviting sand traps and smooth rolling greens (9-10), this is one gorgeous layout. Every hole has its risk/reward layout and we ended up shooting -11 or 31/30 and having a lot of fun. Even though the yardage is short on this course, there is more trouble if you miss the landing areas. The approach shots needed to be 1-2 clubs longer than the yardage indicated to the elevated greens, or we were more tired than we thought. Must add this course to your agenda if playing courses in this area.
Would travel: 60-120 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Ranks with the best in this price level
Condition of Course, Food/ Bar facilities, Difficulty, Ambiance, Staff, Pro Shop, Layout, Clubhouse
