This maybe a flat "Farm Type" area , but having five (5) holes without water was a big surprise to me. The non-typical sculptured mowed fairways have a mix of trees, sand traps, deep rough and scattered trees lining each fairway. Greens were in great shape and rolled very true at 7-9 even with misty conditions. Having four (4) tee boxes you can play from Gold at 6,873yds/73.7/137 down to Green at 5,067yds/69.3/120 on these tricked hole layout. Weather today was a misty cold wind (2 club) that had us playing from the Black tees 3,253/3,155yds / 70.9 / 126 on this 1998 Brian Huntley Par 36/36 layout. The Front 9 starts out with a straightaway 374-300yd Par 4 hole with O.B. down the entire RH side. The #2 a 385-269yd Par 4 plays into the normal SW wind with water, sand and trees placed to catch those strays. The #4 a 531-450yd Par 5 dogleg left has two (2) water crossings with two (2) front green traps on this Hcp 3 hole. The #6 is a 464-334yd Par 4 that has a pond and traps carry protecting front of this Hcp 5 green. The #7 Hcp 1 hole at 563-440yd Par 5 has a narrow fairway bordered by water last 250yds to the green. The #9 at 382-291yd Par 4 has water "tee to green" on the LH side and tree RH side. The Back 9 starts out with two (2) sweeping left Par 4's at #10/417yds and #11/340yds with water and traps, ready and waiting. The #13 Par 5 at 494-379yds has a creek winding down the LH side and sweeping across the front of the green that is mostly hidden from view. The #15 is just a Hcp 4 treelined narrow 393-272yd Par 4 that has strays pretty much in jail. The Hcp 2 #16 at 459-342yds plays into the wind with front traps grabbing those short shots. The #18 is a real straight narrow 502-407yd hole with traps scattered throughout the fairway and green. Ended up shooting 42/42 w/34 putts on this cold, misty and windy day with a Local regular who had a lot of course tips, Thanks Ron.

Would travel: 30-60 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Best course in the area
