Always look forward to playing a "Country Club" course that goes Public and seeing how it handles the play. The course was really in good shape from the tee boxes (4), close cut smooth fairways, slick rolling greens (7-9) with heavy sand in the traps being the only down fall. This is a one tight "Tree Lined" layout that demands tee shots in the short grass or you will be looking at bogeys or worse, all day. I had four (4) O.B.'s and didn't really miss the fairways by very much, but the many slight doglegs added to finding safe landing areas. Local course knowledge of landing distances would be helpful as there are many elevation changes with visual distractions that add to correct club selection. Really enjoyed the #18 / 204yd / Par 3 into the wind that is ALL carry to the green, with short shots rejected by the grassy ravine in front. Overall I enjoyed the challenging layout with good conditions for the $40.00 paid on this heavily weekend (3.75hr) played course. I shot 44/45 w/33 putts after taking a 9 on #12 par 4 (OB, 3 sand, 3 putts) that makes me want to replay this course one more time. Son Jeremy, shot 40/43 w/35 putts and used his 3 wood for every tee shot (1 OB) which made a lot of sense, looking back now. This is 6,438yd / 72.3 / 132 / Par 72 course is worth playing for those who don't spray their tee shots
Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Ranks with the best in this price level
